About the Role
As a Policy Advisor Research at ABU, the largest employers' organization in the staffing industry, you are the bridge between research and policy. You will help build our research agenda, commission studies from external agencies, and translate results into insights that empower our lobby, communication, and strategy.
While you will work with data from sources like CBS and NEA, you don't need to be a "hardcore" data analyst. We are looking for someone who can quickly extract the core message from figures, uses AI tools to accelerate their workflow, and knows exactly when to outsource specialized tasks.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop a long-term research agenda alongside program managers.
- Formulate sharp research questions and manage external research agencies.
- Analyze labor market data from sources such as CBS and NEA.
- Translate complex data into clear insights for policy, lobbying, and communication.
- Build and maintain relationships with knowledge institutes and universities.
- Support colleagues with up-to-date data for ongoing dossiers.
What You Bring:
- A Master’s (WO) level of thinking and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- A strong affinity for labor market or socio-economic issues.
- Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of R or Python is a plus.
- A natural ability to integrate AI into your workflow for reading, writing, and analyzing.
- The skill to translate data into understandable advice and insights.
